The High Point Police Department serves a city of 112,371 residents (2019). High Point is currently the eighth-largest municipality in North Carolina. Our police force consists of 255 sworn officers and covers 50.6 square miles which goes into four different counties. Our motor unit consists of four full time Motor officers who focus on traffic enforcement, Fatal and serious injury motor vehicle crash investigation and motorcycle safety education.
