Officer Hammond was hired by the Garner Police Department in May of 2019 after previously working for the Wake County Sheriffs Office Since 2011. He is currently assigned to the Traffic Safety Unit within the department, which focuses on traffic enforcement, crash investigations and reconstruction, and motorcycle operation. He holds numerous specialized certifications which assist him in his daily operations as a police officer and is also part of Garner Police Departments Special Response Team (SRT).
