Deputy Quinn worked at the Gastonia PD for 25 years. He had been assigned to Patrol, the Interdiction Unit, Bomb Squad, and was assigned to the Traffic Unit as a full time Motor Officer. Deputy Quinn graduated the NC Highway Patrol Motorcycle Operator school in 2006. Deputy Quinn is a state certified general instructor as well as a Speed Measuring Instrument Instructor since 2002. As of October 2016 Deputy Quinn is also an instructor at the FBI Hazardous Devices School at the U.S. Army's Redstone Arsenal in Alabama.
