Officer David Newton is a Marine Corps veteran and a volunteer firefighter who has been a police officer for over 11 years. As an officer, he has been a patrol officer, a school resource officer and a supervisor prior to switching to the Greenville Police Department in October 2023. Since joining GPD, Officer Newton has become a Motor Officer which is the best job in law enforcement. Officer Newton is an avid motorcycle rider outside of his work duties and is the current Vice President of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Chapter NC VIII. Officer Newton started riding on a 2002 Honda Shadow before upgrading to a 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and now rides a 2023 Honda Goldwing off duty and a 2015 BMW 1200RT for work. Riding is more than a hobby or a job, motorcycling is a way to live!
