Ofc. Joo Hwang began riding motorcycles at the age of 31. Ofc. Hwang began his law enforcement career in 2016 with the Winston Salem Police Department. In 2021 Ofc. Hwang joined the WSPD Motor Unit and began his riding career on a 2014 Yahama FJR1300 Police Motorcycle. Ofc. Hwang has attended 80 hours of Police Motorcycle School hosted by the NC Highway Patrol. Ofc. Hwang currently rides a 2012 Kawasaki Concors14.
