Lieutenant Brandon Gudgeon has been in law enforcement since 2014, spent three years as an officer with a local police department and in 2017 switched over to the Iredell County Sheriffs Office as a deputy. He completed Basic Police Motor school hosted by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in 2018 and brings more than 20 years riding experience.
His passion for riding began long before his law enforcement career, including a three year period where a motorcycle was his primary and only mode of transportation, riding daily in all types of conditions, no fair weather riding only. That real world riding experience, combined with advanced police motorcycle training, provides a strong foundation for rider safety, skill development, and roadway awareness.
Through the Governor's Highway Safety Bike Safe program and the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Lieutenant Brandon Gudgeon is committed to helping riders improve their skills, confidence, and overall safety while promoting positive relationships between the motorcycle community and law enforcement.
