Sgt. John Donaldson

Sergeant Donaldson career in law enforcement began in 2003. Like all officers, he started out in patrol, but soon there after was sought out to become a police training officer years later. Sergeant Donaldson continued training until achieving the rank of police Corporal in 2008. Once at the rank of Corporal, he transferred from patrol to Downtown Bike Patrol for the Greensboro Police Department. In 2016, Sergeant Donaldson returned back to patrol after being promoted. Sergeant Donaldson soon transferred back to bike patrol where he remained until transferring to the Motor Unit in 2020. In 2020, Sergeant Donaldson attended the 80 hour NC State Highway Patrol Basic Motor Officer School. In addition to basic motor school, Sergeant Donaldson also has attended the Greensboro Police Department 40 hour Electric Motorcycle School (Dual-Sport). Sergeant Donaldson has been riding motorcycles for over 25 years.
