The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office provides numerous services to the citizens of Cabarrus County. Out of 100 counties, Cabarrus ranks 25th in fastest growing counties in NC. We have experienced a population growth, with an average increase of 15% every year. The main reasons for this growth explosion are, major Interstate (I-85), State and US highways, adjoining one of the largest cities (Charlotte), and being centrally located in the state. With all this growth, the citizens of Cabarrus County still enjoy one of the lowest crime rates in the state.
