Trooper Cross has been employed with the State Highway Patrol since 2014. Upon graduation from the Basic Patrol School, Trooper Cross was assigned to Troop B District III, Jacksonville, NC. In 2023, Trooper Cross graduated from the Basic Police Motorcycle School and was assigned to the West Motorcycle Unit in Charlotte, NC. Trooper Cross is a certified BikeSafe NC assessor, and completed level 1 of the California Super Bike School, MSF Basic Rider Course, and MSF Advanced Rider Course.
Before the Highway Patrol, Trooper Cross served in the United States Marine Corps. Trooper Cross is a graduate of the University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Master of Public Administration.
